Langhe and Roero
Magical lands, with hills which are famous the world over as a treasure chest of perfumes and flavours they preserve. It’s the land which gave excellence to the white truffle of Alba. The most precious of hypogean mushrooms that leaves the capital of Langhe to end up on the tables in every part of the world. A relaxing holiday to discover a unique landscape, lined with vineyards and dotted with towers and castles, rich in woods, pastures, to loose oneself in the perfumes and the fragrances of the great wines and to let oneself go in the delights of the cuisine.
Period: from March to September, November, December
1st day: Arrival
Arrive at the Langhe and Roero in the afternoon.
Check-in and settling into the chosen accommodation.
Dinner in a characteristic restaurant , tasting a traditional local menu.
Overnight stay.
2nd day: Tour of the great wines, from Barbaresco to Barolo.
Buffet breakfast.
In the morning, sightseeing tour of the Barbaresco hills with a stop at Treiso to admire the “ Rocche dei sette fratelli “ at Canta, panoramic views of the “ Romantic road of Langhe and Roero,” continue toward Barbaresco with a stop at the Regional wine cellars reaching Neive, one of the finest villages in Italy.
Lunch in a characteristic wine restaurant in the centre of town.
In the afternoon, sightseeing tour of the Barolo hills passing through Grinazane Cavour, with a visit to the castle, ethnographic museum and the regional Cavour wine cellars. Stopping at the panoramic “belvedere” at La Morra, with a stroll through the historical centre of Barolo.
Visit to a renowned Barolo production company with wine tasting.
Dinner in a traditional tavern.
3rd day: Alba and Roero
Buffet breakfast.
Transfer to Alba, “ City of the 100 Towers” and capital of the Langhe, for a stroll through palaces and medieval towers, elegant shops and fancy cake shops.
In the afternoon a panoramic tour is recommended through the villages of Guarene, Magliano Alfieri, Govone up to Canale where the regional wine cellar of Roero is located.
Visit to a historical Roero wine producing cellar with wine tasting.
Procede to Cisterna d’Asti with the chance to visit the castle and the Old Crafts Museum.
Dinner in an elegant Roero restaurant.
Overnight stay.
4th day: Hazelnut and Cheese Tour in Alta Langa, on the way to the sea.
Buffet breakfast.
Panoramic tour of Alta Langa through Diano d’ Alba and Montelupo Albese reaching Sinio.
Visit an artisan style nougat factory and a taste of their products.
Continuation of the itinerary through Albaretto della Torre, Serravalle Langhe, Bossolasco, “The town of roses” to discover one of the Langhe’s wildest corners, rich in history and emotions reaching the picturesque village of Murazzano.
Visit to a dairy of the well known Murazzano Dop Cheese and tasting.
Lunch in a characteristic tavern.
End of the program. Departure or continuation of the tour toward Liguria.

Riviera dei Fiori
The Riviera of Flowers, the last stretch of Liguria bordering the Côte d’Azur is a famous tourist destination. Sandy beaches are alternated with ragged coasts, wonderful and evocative sights that fall into the crystal clear sea which is prized for the beauty of it’s sea bed. The particularly mild climate allows you to stay out in the open 12 months of the year and favours the cultivation of the famous flowers and the production of the extra virgin taggiasca olive oil renowned all over Italy. Not forgetting the hinterland with its old villages and stone walls built in the hills. In a few minutes you can reach the Alps, that frame this scenery and reflect themselves in to the sea!

Arrive in the province of Imperia
Settling into the chosen accommodation

2nd day: Tour of Imperia and the Gulf of Diano
Visit of the city of Imperia: Porto Maurizio perched on the Parasio promontory, medieval village, intricate windy roads all of them up hill. At the foot of the Parasio are the antique suburbs of the Foce and Marina with its small tourist harbour.
In Oneglia there’s the Olive tree Museum that tells of the century old history of olive oil and its production.
Transfer to Cervo, pearl of the Gulf of Diano, one of “the prettiest villages in Italy”, with restaurants overlooking the sea, craft shops, and the Church of Corallini, renowned around the world for the international festival of chamber music.

3rd day: Colours, Perfumes and flavours of the Riviera of Flowers
A day in the open dedicated to nature: far from the traffic, walking and sporting activities in a quiet and safe environment. Great even for the younger ones on the cycling and pedestrian promenade that has been made out of the old western Liguria railway track that goes from San Lorenzo al Mare to Taggia , famous for its historical centre and the sandy beaches of Arma.
Visit to an important flower company near Sanremo to observe the cultivation of cut flowers, ornamental green and potted plants which have characterized the economical history of the ‘900.
Visit to the Casino in Sanremo the most significant monument of the Belle Époque and…for those who like to gamble…the green tables.

4th day: From the Sea to the Mountain, in a few minutes.
On the way to discover the hinterland. Let yourself be enchanted by Triora, “The Witches Village” full of wonder. A warm welcome in a family run restaurant famous for its delicious and creative cuisine.
Visit to the oldest olive-press in the Argentina Valley with the possibility of buying newly pressed oil and local products in olive oil and discover the history of the olive tree cultivation, the passion and tradition for quality.
Visit to a Rossese wine cellar with a guided wine tasting tour to understand the secrets of the ageing of our local wine.
End of the program. Departure or continuation of the tour towards the Langhe.
