The tourist office is housed in the Palazzo di Riviera , a prime example of the kind of floral Liberty-style architecture that is arrayed all along the palm-lined Corso Imperatrice boulevard which lines the seafront west of the centre. (Partway towards the grandest and most luxurious palace hotels further west on Corso Matuzia, you'll pass the Giardini Marsaglia , a public park centred on an auditorium that stages regular summer concerts.) Directly opposite the tourist office is an onion-domed Russian Orthodox church (daily 9.30am-12.30pm & 3-6.30pm), built in the 1920s and more impressive on the outside than within. About 100m further east you'll come to San Remo's landmark Casino , a white Liberty-style palace with grand staircases and distinctive turrets that still stands as the epitome of the town's old-fashioned sense of monied leisure, playing an active part in its nightlife to this day . Corso degli Inglesi winds around and above the casino, home to dozens of villas in varying states of repair, including one close to the junction of Via Fratelli Asquascati complete with stained-glass irises and majolica tiles.
